Title: The Study of Social Media Influence in Chinese University Students

Introduction:
Social media has become an integral part of modern life, and its presence in universities has also become increasingly common. With the rise of online platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, students have become increasingly aware of their social media usage and how it can impact their lives and relationships. In this study, we aim to explore the social media influence in Chinese university students and identify the factors that contribute to this phenomenon.

Methods:
This study used a cross-sectional survey design to collect data from a sample of 1000 Chinese university students. The survey included questions about students\’ social media usage, their perceptions of social media influence, and the factors that contribute to this influence. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire and analyzed using statistical methods.

Results:
The survey found that most students (85%) used social media regularly, and that they spent an average of 2-3 hours per day on these platforms. Students reported that social media had a significant impact on their academic performance, social relationships, and mental health. Students who used social media more frequently were more likely to report higher levels of stress and anxiety, and to have lower levels of academic achievement.

Factors that contributed to the social media influence in students included:

1. Social media usage: Students who used social media more frequently were more likely to report higher levels of social media usage.
2. Social network formation: Students who formed strong social networks on social media were more likely to report lower levels of social media usage.
3. Digital divide: Students from low-income families were more likely to use social media more frequently, and to report higher levels of social media influence.
4. Personal values: Students who reported higher levels of stress and anxiety were more likely to use social media more frequently, and to report higher levels of social media influence.

Conclusion:
This study has identified several factors that contribute to the social media influence in Chinese university students. These factors include social media usage, social network formation, digital divide, and personal values. Understanding these factors can help universities to develop strategies to reduce social media influence and promote academic and social success among their students.
